Darwin Ensemble

A DECO string quartet appeared in Birmingham Town Hall with the choristers of Lichfield Cathedral and the Girls Choir of Lichfield Cathedral School, and dancers from the Centre for Advanced Training in South Asian and Contemporary dance in a performance of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. DECO was thrilled to be involved in this showcase concert celebrating the excellence of the Midlands youth.

Following on from the national "Excellent!" showcase in London in 2008, "Reach for the Sky" brought together organisations and institutions involved in the Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) in the Midlands. Nearly 40% of the performers have benefitted from the outreach of this scheme.
