Violin Noriko is based in Elgar’s home town of Malvern. She started playing the violin and piano from an early age, and attended the Junior Department at the Royal College of Music in London. She gained a MusB (Hons) from the University of Manchester, followed by a Postgraduate Performance Diploma and MPhil in Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music.
Noriko is a keen chamber and orchestral musician and has performed extensively across the UK, including at the Wigmore Hall, as well as in Italy, Portugal, and the Far East. As a freelance orchestral musician, Noriko regularly plays with the English Symphony Orchestra as well as DECO and the Darwin Ensemble String Quartet. Dedicated to bringing music and the joy of making it to special needs groups, she runs Special Virtuosi, a music project for people with learning difficulties, and teaches violin and trumpet in several schools. |
