Oboe
Originally from the North East of England, Robin Crinson went on to study oboe and voice at the Royal College of Music, London. His oboe teachers included Michael Winfield, Sarah Francis and David Theodore.
During this time he played with the Britten Pears orchestra and the Amadeus Orchestra, gaining the opportunity to tour China and the Middle East. Now based in the Midlands, Robin performs regularly with Birmingham based Queens Park Sinfonia, Serenata Winds, Coventry Spires Philharmonic as well as DECO chamber ensemble. Robin also continues to sing. He is currently Bass Lay Clerk at Birmingham Cathedral and takes on occasional solo engagements. He teaches both woodwind and singing at Lichfield Cathedral School.
In his spare time Robin enjoys real ale and international cuisine.
